A cocktail reception kicked off the evening with 10 sponsors showcasing samples and demonstrations of their products and services specifically geared towards women. The theme of the evening focused on “Entrepreneurship: Starting, Leading and Growing New Ventures” with all speakers sharing their personal career experiences, wealth of knowledge on career development, and how they transitioned to entrepreneurs. These are clips from the documentary “The Business of Being Born” directed by Abby Epstein. It was published in 2008. This movie opens women’s eyes to the harsh reality of hospital births. I hope that these short clips could change the the minds of pregnant women who ARE NOT aware that they have other options for childbirth other than the hospital: “HOME”

To hear your story of how you overcame racism really is inspiring! We look forward to hearing more from Life After Hate as WWBIC knows you will make a great impact in the Community. Thank you, Amber Miller Education and Communications Coordinator Wisconsin Women’s Business Initiative Corp.
