In January 2011 IE Business School hosted an event in Munich that aimed to address the unique challenges faced by women in the workplace. Multinational companies including Allianz and Deutsche Telekom were invited to speak about their initiatives to promote the female workforce and give advice on career development.

Sports’ impact on the regional economy was the topic of the day. It’s not just the big three — Indians, Browns and Cavaliers — that drive revenue in the region and positively impact the economy. There are a slew of collegiate, amateur, minor league and specialty events that together generate hundreds of millions of dollars each decade to Northeast Ohio’s economy.
