I have checked all the supposed grants lists that you have to purchase and most of the grants available to women owned business are not for start-ups. They appear to be for tools once you are already in business, like money to pay an IT person or accountant if you need it. SBA has a 10,000.00 microloan that you still have to have good credit to get for a start up but I will need about 20,000.00 total. I can try to get a tax id number but even that would be New credit which can be worse than no credit. Anyone have this as a specialty or gone through this same situation lately?

A friend of mine is planning on starting a buisness and were trying to find grants help please!

What is the best website to get info on small business grants for minorites and women? I am looking into opening a small business but I need some financial backing. I have looked through several websites but they always want you to pay for their services. Isn’t there a government website where I can get this info without having to pay a third party company?
Any help would be appreciated.

I hear so many times that there are hundreds of different Government or Private Org small business grants for women but have yet to find a legitimate grant or website that is offering grants. And NO the SBA does-not offer grants for New business for women, they offer loans as do regular banks that I could just go to if it were an option. Where are these legitimate grants at??? What, if any grants are there for a small business owned by women? I am a resident of Texas and would like to expand my business. We have been open for 6 months. We are still in the struggling stages, and just need something to keep us afloat, as well as help us in our expansion. We own a nursing agency, and would just like to know which grants are scams and which are legit.
