I’m thinking of starting my own photographic restoration service and can’t find any information about government help for women venturing into the business world.

I was in the Army for 12 yrs., during that time I received extensive training in the Food Service field. I did some extra training in Culinary Arts. I would like to either start my own Party Planning/ Catering business or open a fine dining establishment.

Can anyone help me cut through the crap and let me know where and how to apply for grants to open a small business. I’m a single mother of one dependent in college and want to open a “sweets” business (cakes, cookies, candies). I have lousy credit due to an ugly divorce. Please help if you have any experience with this.

How do I find government grants for a new small business owned by a woman? I am wanting to start a business in the next year or two but much of it would depend on how much money I could get from the govt or other places. I know it will happen to a point but I want to try to stay as much out of debt as possible so im not digging myself out of a hole and can maybe start actually earning money before the 5 year mark. How do I learn about and apply for these grants. I know they are out there but where?

I have researched this and have a plan but now i just need help with the funding, I am going to start an assisted living home and was wondering if anyone knows any good grants for woman that I could apply for.
