I applied at my local bank, Marshall and Ilsley Bank. There was no “special” advantage for being a woman. Only minority women receive other grants, etc..

Try the Womens Entrepreneurial Network (W.E.N). This is a great organization and they will walk you through the process. You can get their number at your local Chamber of Commerce.
